A New Year comes

A new year comes and with that we all have grate hopes of things we wish to do in this new year!!!! I have a list and I am sure all of you do to here is mine

1 I want to go to church more and get closer to God
2 I wish that I could be a better mom
3 I wish to be a better daughter
4 I wish to be a better wife
5 I want to do more for those that I love
6 I hope to help more people
7 I want to do more around the house(need to work on the house ( ok like to))
8 I want to lose some of this weight
9 I want to pay off a lot of thing and not to go back in debt
10 I want to put more money in the bank ( and note this after do more thing around the house )
11 I hope to be a better person all around

K here is my list I am going to keep up with the things I need to keep up with and get better organise ( I am praying a lot about this one I need to do this better) I am a bit of a you need to keep this when I could just put it in the trash .

I hope that everyone had a very good Christmas I hope that you got to see all of the family,and did not get stuck in any of the snow that has been flying around.

How do you like my new gift its a boy now I have one of each I am going to name him Nick and my other gift is miracle and we have them both in the barn.

Early Christmas

Look what I got for Christmas and did not know that I was getting it. We took off the bull in April and did not think that any of our girls was going to have a baby and look what we found when we went to feed today
I think it is a boy but mom did not let me get to close to him and no that is not mom that is Lexie and look at her belly I hope there is a baby in there and she playing mom or (momaw) HeeHee she thinks she is a cow anyway.

I hope that everyone is getting ready for Christmas I have done some thing but still need to do so much more I am feeling some better and the new baby helped still getting use to the new schedule and getting to work three day a week, Hope to talk to you all again before Christmas if not have Good Christmas and stay safe.

Ya got my snow

I wish that the computer would upload my pitchers I have some good ones of my snow. the only thing is I have the BUG that is going around and have not been out playing in the snow DH has had to do all of the feeding the last two days and I want to get out in it but I just do not feel like it and if you know me I have to be sick bad sick not to get in the snow . I hope that everyone that had to get out in the snow had a safe trip and is loving it as much as me going to get back in bed now and take some thing and go back to sleep.

Oh Christmas tree

I hope that everyone got to spend Thanksgiving with there loved ones and had a safe trip home. I wish that my Carma and my computer was talking to each other I would like to show you all my tree I did it all in sliver and I have twinkle lights the I love so much I can make the twinkle 16 ways and yes I do change them some times. ( I would love to see everyone tree)
Me and DH are still trying to get the schedule worked out he stiles wants me to stop working but I do want to work some. He leaves at 2 pm and gets home at about 2am. .So I will be going to work at 8 am and will not get home until 6pm so I will not get to see him unless I come home on lunch to see him. So I hope they are ok with that ( ok they will have to be ok with that) got to go and feed all the babies they are letting me know that it is feed time and the Zoo an the mountain. Hope to see your tree soon

Snow

I hope that everyone got to spend Thanksgiving with your family and friends ( did you eat to much) I did . Got up with DH to get him off hunting and it is SNOWING yes I love. I hope to get my tree up to day we put up my moms yesterday and my sis got hers up on this week I am doing all of mine in silver mom did hers in red and gold Sis did hers in sliver and purple we take turns using the colors and each year all we have to get is a few new ones. I am getting in the Christmas's mood I wish that my computer would let me up load my pitchers I hope to take it and get it fixed after the first of the year I will have a lot of things to show all of you.
I hope that if you went shopping to day that you had fun and got what you wanted and needed.

Gobble, Gobble

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all. We all have a lot to be thankful for the year. DH is going to be working full time at a good job, my Mom is doing better Dad is Dad as always and my dear little girl ( 21 this year) is doing good to. We will have a new baby in the family next year DH brother is going to be a Dad. My sister is doing good any my nice is growing up to fast.
I hope that everyone gets to be with there family this week.

I am going nuts

HI how is everyone me I think I am going nuts I have all ways been a little on the loopie side of live I just do not want to grow up ( I am 42) I love to set and blow bubbles, play in fall leaves sit and watch my chickens , play in the dirt, color with crayons, and play with my food. DH thinks that I am a little on the fruity side and that is ok, we went to check on the cows and the wind was blowing good so I unzipped my coat and spread my wings and tyred to fly ( you know like the little kids do) and he said he was going to take me to a Dr and see if any thing was between my ears ( I drought it :) ) oh well I think I will stay this way life is good and why not. I do what has to be done and live free when I can so if no one get hurt why not.

Where is the snow

Ok I know that I am a little nuts (Ok for if you know me a lot ) but I do not feel like getting in the mood for Thanksgiving or Christmas in this weather I know that most people do not like the snow and cold but I do. I love to get out in the snow and put up my Christmas stuff I do not put up a lot but I do like doing it all in snow.
I did not have my big dinner this year everyone is working. On the first day of rifle season all of the men go hunting I would get up a 2 and have them a big breakfast and then there wife's would come up and we would fix dinner my little house would be full and I loved it but this year we did not have it most of the men had to work, the mines had to close down for a few week back in the summer so most of them had to take there vacation then and they did not get off on the 14 and now DH is working and I do not know what shift he will be working we will not know until Friday.
I am still working on things around the house I love my little house DH grandpa built it one room at a time over 50 years a go. and I am still trying to get it fix up DH lived here for 20 years all alone and he did not do a lot so I am trying to do a little at a time.
Got to go fro know and go let out my chickens I hope they do not blow away it is going to be windy here up to 50mp at times and on top of this mountain that can be fun at times.

Bad Computer

K I have had it with my computer I have been trying to get it working right and it will do some thing ,and others it is just bad bad bad computer:( I tyred all day on Monday to get it to up load my pitchers and it will not I have done everything I know to do and it just will not work. When I get back to work I hope to talk it to the Dr and get it worked on. I want my old computer back.
DH got home at 4 and had a good day he likes it so far and we all know how that goes they are like kids they will be happy for a little while then they will not be happy. We went and fenced some I need to go over and talk to the man that has the land next to ours and see if he will move the roll of hay from the fence ( he is not a nice man and will want us to pay for the roll of hay) but that will be ok I just hope he will move the rolls.

Nice weekend

I had a good weekend got a lot done around the house. DH went hunting and got a nice 4pt deer on Saturday we worked up the meat and called a friend for the rest he likes the ribs and neck meat so we call him. We worked on the fence on the farm we have a man that lives on the land next to the farm he let some one on his land cut the hay and they put two rolls of hay right next to the fence and cows being cows have found it and have eat over half the roll of hay and took out some of the fence so we have been trying to fix it so my little babies do not go on the other farm :) and eat the hay but they have found it and now they want it.
DH got up at 5 and went to his class for his new job it takes him a hour to drive there, he wanted them to call later rifle season started on Saturday and he wanted to hunt some this week but they call on Thursday and said he would start work this week.We do not know shift he will be working yet they will tell him this week.
I will be back to work the first week on December three days a week for now then the middle of January I go back full time DH want me to stay home, but this job is only part time and I can set my own hours all but four weeks when we are mad with people wanting to get there taxes back a soon as they can and with times as they are I know we will be a mad house the last two weeks of January and the first two weeks of February.
Got to go for now and try to work some more on my computer it will not let my up load pitchers so I nee to work on this

It has been to long

I think I have got the computer back and it has been to long. I have been going to class and trying to keep up at home with everything and it has been fun(HA HA) not I will have a few week off then I will be back to work a bout three days a week. I have been working around the house and tacking some pitchers but the crammer and the computer does not like each other right now so I will have lots of pitchers to show when I get it working( I hope soon).
DH still has not heard when he is to start his new job. All of the baby's are doing good Roger is growing and everyone is happy and fat. I have been trying to keep up with all of the blogs I love, I have been look at class keeping up I hope that everyone still comes and reads my blog I will be back to posting the thing that I love cooking farming and living. DH passed his fiscal

Thank everyone for praying he passed his fiscal and now is waiting ( and not good ) on them to call and tell him when to go to school.
I will be out of one of my classes next week and only to be gone one day a week for a few weeks. Then will be back to work until April 15 2010 and then I will be back home Ya. DH wants me to quit and stay home when he goes to work but I like to work part time it is not to bad and I like the work.

DH had fiscal

Poor DH he had a full fiscal the last one he had was in high school ( about 26 years). He did not like it one bit they check everything. So now we wait again on the phone call from the man.
I have been in school and it is almost over about two more weeks and I will be out and done for a month or two we will have to have updates when the IRS post the updates, then I will be back to work in January so nee to get everything done for winter.
Still working on the computer ( still checking on everyone when I can) so I have got to go for now talk to you all later.

DH goes for fiscal

DH goes for a fiscal on Tuesday for the new job!!! I hope that every thing goes well. Thank all of you for praying and thank GOD for is love. I am still trying to get the computer going.
DH is gone fishing today so I am going to go and get the winter things out and get them ready it is only going to be in the 30 today I hope to get some snow and like Kelle I like snow and I do not mind driving in it to. I love going down and feeding the cows and Lex I hope she has a little one to take care of but we are still hoping hope to get the pitchers up loaded soon .

DH

DH goes to day to talk to the man as he said about a new job thank you all for praying and keep praying if it is God will he will get the job in not that will be ok. I think that I have fixed the computer( HA HA are they ever fixed) so I will be back blogging.
It is starting to get a little chilly here but that is ok I love this time of year no bees (YA) I love snow to ( I know that most people do not like snow) I think of it as God way of letting everything take a nap and the snow is a blanket he puts over the earth to let it sleep. Ya I know that I see things in a little bit of a different way but that is ok.

Back to normal

K I have not been my self lately I just get a little in the wrong place some times I hope you all know what I mean. I have a lot in my past that I have to get over and most of the time I do good but every now and the Devil will creep in and bring me back to that time and i takes me little time to get back with Gods help now I back. Thank all of you for posting on my blog I love reading all of yore's. I wish I could put things in to words like some of you do but I have my own way of doing things and that is what makes us all one of a kind, that is how God has made us.So that is all I am going to say on that

that way we can have apple pies and fried apples pies DH loves them when he goes hunting and I love making them for him I love doing things for him so much he is my world and my life and I thank God for him everyday of my life and for God sending him to me when I needed him so much, but that is going back again an I am not going to do that.

Hubby back to work

My loving DH had his toenail took off Thursday and he has been lad up all weekend. He was in a lot of pain before they took off the toenail. His said that it was all better as soon as they took it off.
I did not get to go to class last week I have been doing my work at home . I love being a home and working around the house I will have to go back to work soon.

TGIF

YES it is Friday and a long weekend at that. I have been having a long week at class. I do not know if I am gong to make this year or not. (oh well I hope to) It has been cool here and I love it I get up early and open all of my windows and let the cool air in so when the sun gets up and it gets up early here about 6:15 now that my little house is cool . I have not had the air on in two days. It has been so nice only in the 70s this week. Only thing I do not like is the BEES . They get a little bit mad in the cool weather and I have to watch out for them more now.
Me and DH are going to go fishing this weekend (YA) I thing it is a night trip and I do not do to good at night but he wants me to go and I am going to go with him. I have learned that time with a loved one it something that you need to have and that you can not get back. So when he wants to go out and do things I will drop everything and go, no matter what I am doing I will try to be here wen he need me. I will tell you all more later about all of this later just know I know from the past that I wish things could have been this way once.

MONDAY, MONDAY

Monday cleaning day an put the house back together day DH has been here(HA HA) I love him so much and you all know what I am saying. I am trying to get all the wash done to day and get the house back to come visit look, YA!! I was with DH all day Saturday and Sunday so not much got done but we had so much fun we just did little things around the House we did no go or do anything big.
We checked on Roger is starting to get in the swing of things he will just go with the girls and is starting to come when I call them. While we was looking or them we saw where we had a bear had been and he has made a path in my corn patch a big path. So I will no go out with out a gun from now on.
DH brother come up last night and told us he and his wife are going to have a baby YA YA YA a new little one is on its way. I hope the best for them. DH and me have tyred for two years and no baby but that is ok we all ways said if it s God's will then we would have one. so we will just love this one a little more.
DH has applied for a god job would you all pray that if it is God's will he will get the job if not then we will be fine. Hope everyone has a good and safe MONDAY.

FOOTBALL

Ya we have our home game tonight at Richlands High me and DH are going to watch. He played ball here and loves to go watch the game. I like to go and eat all of the food :).

NEW BABY

We went to my uncles and got a new bull (he is the one at the top)the other one we had just had some problems he did not breed any of my girls I hope little Roger will ( and yes my uncle name Roger)

YA Friday

I made it I made it, Thank God I made it, it is Friday right please be Friday. K I went to class 3 days this week doing k I think.
Went to Moms and did some sweet corn, I did 4 dozen and Mom did a looot more, still have Kraut to do today Mom said to day is a good day to make it so I have to cut up all the cabbage I have 4 good heads.
I will get a new baby on Saturday I will take pitchers and let you see him.

Juggleing

I start classes today I have to be there at 9am. I have to get back in to my routine ( Ya right) I am trying DH had a job that he left the house at 5:30am so I got up an did everything I need to do feed all the babies wash and started dinner, now he does not leave until 7:30 or later so my routine is going to have to be redone( Please God HELP) I have put it off all summer and now it i here and I am trying to get everything done today has been OK I WILL DO BETTER TOMORROW ( i hope) Have a good day.Bless everyone

NEW WEEK

I hope everyone had a good weekend. A new week Ya I hope I can get some things done this week.I have some cucumbers I am going to make some pickles and I have a big cabbage head so I am going to make some Kraut.
I will start my classes on Tuesday I will be going 3 days a week. I like taking these classes. I hope I can get everything done that I want to gt done the rest of the year. Talk to everyone later. Have a blessed week.

Busy Week

Where has the week gone? I have no got anything done this week that I wanted to do ( and I do not know why). I did get my yard mowed and all of the laundry done up for the week and I do not know where the rest of it went.
I went to my moms and help with some beans all of mine are walking around ( HA HA the deer ate all of them) so mom has been giving m some I got more peppers last night so I will put them up and save the to make more peppers and wieners.
Me and DH went to a horse sale on Wednesday they had some pretty ones but they was not bringing much a mommy and baby went for only $250.
Hoping to start going to some of the fairies around here they are starting and will go up in to October. We will go to some yard sales on Saturday before he goes fishing Saturday night.

Hot Peppers

Today it has rained all day, what a good day to can. I have been getting peppers the last two weeks and now I have enough to canthis is what I have got, I used peppers, onions and wieners. I did not check the batters in my camera so I did not get the pitchers of the peppers, onions and wieners cut up. I cut up all of them and added the ketchup, vinegar, sugar boiled for 10 min. put in jars and they all sealed I have 17 jars.

DH loves these he will take them when he goes hunting, and will just sit and eat them. I have to find me some tomato's all of my died, and I need to can some for this fall, I will take the deer I have caned and add tomato's and Veggies and make a good soup when I work I will put it in the crock pot and let it cook on low all day and it is so good on a cold day. Got to go I have chicken in the oven and does it smell gooood. I hope everyone has a good week.

Back to work

K I think that I am going to gt back to work,(HA,HA) I have got to get back in to my things around the house. I have not canned as much as I wanted the tomatoes have all died sooo sad I was looking to canning them. I do have loots of peppers and I am going to start to can them soon my DH likes peppers weenies and onions. I still am getting squash and some corn ( what the deers did not eat) Dad has been getting some beans and the first corn.
We still need to put up some more hay if and when the rain stops (Grandma Goldie said after Dog days are gone august the 11 and yes her name is Goldie) it will stop raining. I also need to fix a of the little thighs around the house to get ready for fall.
DH is fishing tonight so I am home alone :) some me time. I want to start to learn (with God help loots of help) to sew I can not find any skirts that I like so I am going to try to make me some, before I left Walmart I did buy some things to start so now is as good time as Any. Got to go my girls are wanting to go to bed.

My Dad is OK now, he is home and back to his old self. I thank all of you for everything.

Having problems

I do no know what has gone wrong with my computer but something is not working right will try to be back later. miss everyone.

Cucumber Relish

My mom called yesterday and ask if I wanted to help make relish. My DH loves all of this stuff and so I went to help mom. On my way out the door Food City called and ask if I wanted another case of Peaches (yes) mom took them to make her jam (the cost of the peaches was $8 it was $26 for the case good deal) so I was at my mom most of the day and I did not take the camera to take pitchers I will try to do better. Got to go and check on my peppers and tomatoes. Tanks for stooping.

Peachs!!!!

I went to the local Food City and ask what they did with the bruised peaches. They said they

throw them away. I ask if I could buy them for a reduced Price, they said yes and took my phone numbers, they called. I got a case of peaches for $8. now we make jam(ya good stuff)

I use Jel-Ease to make jam and jelly

all I need Sugar, lots of sugar 5 1/2 cups to 4 cups peaches one box Jel-Ease

cup up peaches and put in pot with Jel-Ease bring to boil add the sugar boil 2mim and put in jars

Yesterday me and DH (Dear Husband) put p 101 more bails of hay, and I did not put up the chickens(Bad MOM Bad MOM). Yes something got one of my babies

I do know if you can see the feathers, this is all that s left of one of my babies. I am not a good mother. I wish I had stop ed and put them up.Know they are all mad at me I will not let them out until I get a trap and set it and see what we get.

New Babies

Minxs had five babies Saturday. Three of them has no tail like mom. I only took them out to take there first pitchers. I will take more pitchers later as they get bigger.

She is a good mother and does very good with them. She still tries to watch over the chickens .

Been Under the Wether

Sorry I have not been blogging I have had the bug that has been going around. Have got better and this week I hope to make some peach jelly. The Blackberry's are getting ready to pick and we will be making jelly out of those to. Hope to talk to you all soon.

Hay

Yes we got to put some hay about 290 bails. We have a bout 400 more to go to have what we need. My dad came over and helped out on some of the hay. We put it up Friday an Saturday

This is the baler we are using. This is the baler we are using it belongs to Mr West that we are leasing the far off of. He is something he is 89 and can sit and tell you of thighs that went on when he was 5. I cant think of what I did last week. back to the hay.

This is my Dad and Mr West they got to talk about things while we worked on the baler. It had to take a brake and had to have a new blot put in somewhere I just drive the truck and stack the hay in the barn.

Here is where we put some of the hay. I will need to put some in the other barn where Levi is.I will take more pitchers when we put up more hay.

Trying to cut Hay

Getting to walk

YA YA I have started to walk with out my crushes and my cane the DH have made for me. My ankle is still blue, green, and yellow and I still do not have a ankle on ether side but I can walk a little on it. I went to the Dr yesterday to get my allergy shot. I am doing better with them. I got bee stung three year ago an learned the hard way that I was deadly allergic to them. So now I go once a month to get my shot. I am going to try to go to work tomorrow and work all day.
I am still working on the Berry's and will post later on them.
We are also working on cutting hay I did not get to go with DH yesterday but maybe soon.

Relay for Life

I have been helping a good Friend on her Relay for Life at the SWCC collage today. I have been making apple pies

This what they looked like after they have been fried I was hoping to make 100 but I did not have all the apples caned that I needed so I had 88.I started with the biscuit dough







then I rolled out the dough and add the apples












Then I a fold over the dough and seal the edge







then I would fry them until they got brown then I would let them cool. We took them all over to the collage and they will be there all night. I hope they do good I did not get to stay but I helped where I could.
My Mom called and wanted to know if I wanted some raspberry's my uncle picked 5 gal and said I could have a gal if I wanted them so next post I will show you them.

Sorry I did not get to pot yesterday. My Daughter came up and we had lunch and talked. She want to us my computer and order a incubator to set some eggs. She wants to get some chickens to take to her Grannies to go with the Roo I gave her last year. He is a top not I do not have any pitchers I wish I did he is so funny I will get her to take a pitcher so I Can show you. Then my DH came home and we went on a little trip with him so I did nothing all day ( I wish I was out) so now I set here and try to keep the house looking OK and stay off my foot. Talk to you later pray for my and mine.

Let the Girls out

I let the girls out yesterday and they had a good day. They did not get in the flowers and stay away from the garden. They took care for all the bugs and other things that are out there. They have been so good. We get about 6 to 9 eggs a day they have been on vacation for the last mouth. They were laying 19 eggs ad day, I have 20 hens and 2 roos. The one in this pitcher is Jasper he is the lover out of the 2 roos Buster is the bully. They are 1 year old to day. I got them when they was 3 days old and they have grown a lot the 2 roos are about 7 to 8 pounds, and the hens are from 4 to 6 pounds each.

They are so funny if any thing flew over they will all run under the peach tree and stand looking up but mum is not far looking out for them, Minxs thinks she is there mum she has been watching out for them from day one. She will lay around watching them and if a stray dog comes in the yard she will run it out. They let her come in the coop and lay around. They are soo funny.

Got to go now and see what I can do to day from a sitting down. Not what I would like to do but if I stay good (please God help me) I might get to work out side today . By for now.

Today is my first day trying to blog I hope I have something that you want to see and read. I live in Va in a small town. My DH and me live on small farm with 5 cows 2 horses 22 chickens 1 cat and 2 dogs and any other animals that may come my way. We have been trying to cut hay for the past couple of weeks and we have had rain 24 days out of the past 30. Thank God we have not had any flooding. Just too wet to cut hay. We hope to try to cut some this week.I will not get to help I had a little OOPS an Friday me and my little blue shoes that I love DH hates had a little problem on the hill and now I am laid up with a sprain. So I hope if I am a good girl (HA HA) I will get to help.
I need to be in my garden I have 42 tomatoes plants, 36 peppers plants, 3 aces of fled corn for the cows and horses. 2 aces of sweet corn ,beans squash,and cucumbers. I love to can and I will post my recipes when I get canning.
We was going to pick bearers this week. I will not get to pick this week. I hope my ankle in better by this weekend.
Got to go now time to make lunch to day will be just a cheese sandwich.
